Girls Running Wild and The Hope House of the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center (HCCAC) Brown County Satellite Office invite you to join us for the “Bunny Run” on April 21st, 2012. The event will be held at Gordon Wood Stadium at 8:30 am.
The HCCAC Hope House can only succeed with your help. Your contribution helps the child victims of our community who need it most – those who have been physically or sexually abused or who have witnessed a violent crime. The Children’s Advocacy Center promotes help, hope and healing. Your donations help end the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
One in four girls and one in six boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday. It is estimated that only one child in ten reports the abuse. Chances are children in our community are sitting in a classroom with abused children. So what is our community doing to help? The Hope House is dedicated to help child victims of physical and sexual abuse. The Hope House strives to reduce trauma to victims through a team approach assisting investigations, effective prosecution and promoting healing for child victims and their families.
Services Offered FREE of Charge
• Child Friendly HCCAC Hope House
• Forensic interview to reduce the times a child must recount traumatic events
• Forensic exams performed by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, when required
• Therapy to assist the healing process
• Educational programs to inform the community and prevent child abuse
• Agency coordination of case from outcry, investigation to conviction
Your support makes a profound, positive difference in the lives of abused children in our community. It is through your generosity that all abused children in our community have access to the essential and caring services that the center provides.
